In addition to being a rehabilitation center one of the biggest and most
successful in the southest this is a great place to get to know
rehabilitated winged wonders that roost here and earn their keep by
entertaining the few visitors who come you can get a close look at hams like
Elvis, the blue suede shoe wearing American Kestrel, Daisy the Polka dancing
barn owl and Trouble an eagle born with a misaligned beak The center has
been closed pending the opening of a state of the art rehab center and
permanent residence. It's scheduled to reopen by the end of summer 2001, but
call to check before going here. Allow 2 hours.
