Canyon de Chelly

A truly magnificent sight to see. The walls of Cannyon de Chelly reach almost 1000ft. and is about 20 miles long. Within the canyon lies over 7000 archeological sites. Parts of the cliffs are covered with ancient pictographs and huge stone formations rose hundreds of feet above the ground. The Pueblo people constructed cliff dwellings 2000 years ago and then departed due to climate changes.
