Nestled in Groton State Forest, Ricker Pond State Park sits below the hustle and bustle of Lake Groton.  The park has a quiet atmosphere where loons call nightly and many of the sites overlook the water.  The pond is perfect to paddle around and can be accessed by a boat launch and a campers beach.  Canoe and kayak rentals are available.

The Groton State Forest offers many recreational opportunties with five state parks, several lakes, mountains and picnic areas, numerous trails and a Nature Center.  The Cross Vermont Trail is a favorite for biking, hiking and horseback riding in the summer and snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the winter.

Facilities:

The campground has 27 tent/trailer sites, 23 lean-tos, 5 cabins and a waterfront rental cottage that comfortably sleeps up to 5 and comes with a canoe. Two of the three rest rooms include hot showers ($). A sanitary dump station is available, but no hookups. There is a swimming beach, boat launch, shelter, and access to miles of hiking trails.
