Oquaga Creek State Park

Oquaga Creek State Park is just 3 hours from New York City and New Jersey, which makes its beach facilities and forested campsites the perfect summer escape. The 55-acre Arctic Lake has a sand beach for swimmers, and anglers can fish for black bass, bullheads and rainbow trout. The rolling, wooded hills are ideal for winter sledding. Winter visitors can also ice skate or ice fish on the frozen lake and snowshoers and cross-country skiers can explore six miles of trails. If you like to camp, 95 sites are available. If you don't want to bother to pack a tent and equipment, you maybe interested in the Full Service Accommodation. This cottage provides 2 bedrooms, a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, cooking utensils dishes and silverware and more.

The newly redecorated two story Vacation Rental offers a kitchen, living room with fire view wood stove, one and a half baths, master bedroom with a double bed, second bedroom with two single beds and two bunk beds, gas and electric heat, stove with oven, wood stove, refrigerator, furniture, pillows, cooking utensils, dishes, glassware, and silverware.   • Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse: Thruway (I-90) east to exit 36, junction I-81. I-81 south to Whitney Point exit. 206 east to Beech Hill Rd. to park.
  • Albany: Thruway (I-90) west to Schenectady exit 25A. Take I-88 west to Bainbridge exit. 206 east to Beech Hill Rd. to park.
  • New York: Rt.17 north to exit 84 at Deposit. North on Rt.8 for three miles. Left on County Road 20, follow nine miles to park.
  • Binghamton: Rt.88 east to Bainbridge. Rt.206 east approximately 5 miles to Beech Hill Rd., to park.

The park is open year-round. The beach is open daily mid-June to Labor Day. Deer and small game hunting is allowed in specified areas.
Pets:
Household pets only; caged or on a leash not more than 6 feet. Not allowed in bathing areas.
