This major recreation area in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region offers year-round activities. In the winter, alpine skiing is available at Mt. Sunapee Resort, owned by the state of New Hampshire and managed by the Okemo Mountain Resort.

Enjoy hiking, swimming, picnicking, boating, fishing and swimming in the summer/fall months. The campground offers lean-to and platform sites for family camping. Mt. Sunapee State Beach is situated about a mile from the campground and offers many amenities.

Mt. Sunapee State Park is open weekends only starting May 27; then daily from June 24 through September 10; then weekends only until September 24, 2006. Hours of operation are from 9:30am - 7:30pm, weather permitting. Admission is $3 for adults; $1 for children ages 6-11; children ages 5 and under and NH residents age 65 and over are admitted free.

The gate remains open for access from 9:00am - 5:30pm until December 1st, weather permitting
