At 2,407 feet
above sea level,
Cheaha
Mountain is the highest point in
Alabama. (This state park is surrounded
by the
Talladega
National Forest.) This 2,799-acre
mountaintop retreat provides breathtaking scenery year-round. A spectacular
sunset becomes the perfect complement to an excellent evening dining
experience at the park restaurant. During the day you can enjoy hiking,
swimming or photographing the natural beauty of the
Cheaha
Mountain area. Then, after an
exhilarating day you can retire to a comfortable hotel room, mountainside
chalet or one of our newly renovated cabins. Or you may choose to stay
closer to nature at a primitive campsite.
Looking for a
place to have a meeting? We can accommodate up to 35 - 50 people at the
Restaurant Meeting Room or up to 100-120 in the dining hall at the all new
Bald Rock Lodge. The Bald Rock Lodge is a beautiful newly renovated CCC
facility with 12 private rooms that will sleep up to 32 people. It has its
own kitchen and conference room in addition to the large dining hall. It is
a great place to hold a conference or banquet with no distractions. In
addition, it is perfect for weddings, family or class reunions.
