After Hours Campsite

Open All Year

Details

Designated group camping area with porta-johns, fire rings & grills, and picnic tables. Camp area is large enough for several large groups. Obtain a free camping permit and list of regulations at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center prior to camping.

Backcountry Camping

Open All Year

Details

Camp in wilderness area of park at least 100 feet away from backcountry trails and water and 1000 feet away from visitor center and boardwalk. Camping is primitive style with no facilities. Obtain free camping permit and list of regulations at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center.

Bluff Campsite

Open All Year

Details

Designated group camping area. Site has fire rings and picnic tables and is large enough for several large groups. Camping is primitive style with no facilities. Obtain free camping permit and list of regulations at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center.

Car

Take exit #5 off I-77. Follow signs to the park entrance, (approximately 15 miles)

Bus

No public route available.

Public Transportation

Taxi, approximately 20 miles from Columbia.

Hiking on boardwalk and trails. Canoeing & kayaking on Cedar Creek.
