including various forms of salmon-fillets, pates and jerky.
Oregon wines are a good buy, and Tillamook has cheese to go with
the wine. The Made in Oregon stores offer locally produced jams,
candies, clothing. Ashland has a large assortment of crafts and
unique novelty shops downtown. Pendleton Woolen Mills in
Pendleton offers wool blankets, sweaters and the aptly named
"Pendleton"-a type of plaid wool jacket popular with California
surfers in the 1960s.
