in Oregon
The Division of Consumer and Business Services issues eight
types of electrical contractor licenses, including a license for
limited maintenance specialty – HVAC/R. Applicants must have
4,000 hours of experience in HVACR work. To apply for a license,
contact the Division at www.oregonbcd.org.
Applicants don't have to take an exam to get an electrical
contractor's license. However, they do need to employ an
appropriately licensed person in their company to sign for
electrical permits.
