Application Requirements:
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university,
with a minimum of 60 liberal arts credits; a strong academic
record with an undergraduate average of at least a B;
demonstrated intellectual capacity for graduate education;
evidence of emotional maturity, concern for people, and capacity
for self-awareness and personal growth; demonstrated concern and
commitment to the values underlying professional social work.
Campus Description:
The following Master's in Social Work (M.S.W.) options are
offered on the campus of St. Thomas Aquinas College: Two-Year
Program, Extended One-Year Residence Program (OYR), Extended
Program (formerly MIP), Advanced Standing Program, and
individual courses. Students can complete all degree
requirements at the branch campus.
Classes are offered in the late afternoon and evening.
Convenient field internships are available and, where
appropriate, work-study options may be arranged. Students may
begin master's courses in the summer or fall semester. Financial
aid, pre-admission counseling, and job placement services are
available.
Students in this program have access to information and other
resources at both St. Thomas Aquinas College and the NYU main
campus, including WWW access, e-mail, and other resources made
available through NYU Information Technology Services.
The campus is convenient to northern New Jersey; Orange,
Rockland, Ulster and Westchester counties in New York; and
Connecticut. It is located only minutes away from the Palisades
Interstate Parkway, Garden State Parkway, and the Tappan Zee
Bridge.
