Academic life at NYU is intellectually challenging. Faculty members are recipients of Nobel and Pulitzer prizes, Oscar and Emmy awards, MacArthur and Guggenheim fellowships. The 11:1 student-teacher ratio gives our undergraduates opportunities to develop personal relationships with these professors.

New York University has seven undergraduate divisions - each with its own identity - offering students the benefits of a small college and the advantages of a large university. All students, whether they major in the humanities or the natural sciences, film production, or business, receive a firm foundation in the liberal arts.
