Application Requirements:
HS transcript (record of all work completed at time of application); SAT or ACT required for all freshmen applicants; college transcript(s) if transfer student; essay; $50 application fee; interview required for nursing, occupational therapy, physician assistant, physical therapy, and combined BS/DO (osteopathic) medicine programs; proof of 100 hours of volunteer or work experience for occupational therapy, physical therapy, and physician assistant programs; portfolio required for fine arts applicants; two letters of recommendation required for 4-year nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physician assistant, BS/DO and all education programs.



Campus Description:
New York Institute of Technology is a private coeducational institution of higher learning. Founded in 1955, the college now enrolls 10,000 students at its three campuses in Central Islip, Old Westbury and Manhattan. NYIT is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. NYIT offers over 100 undergraduate majors and 17 graduate degree programs. NYIT's undergraduate majors include: architecture, physical and occupational therapy, life sciences, physician assistant, premedical studies, nursing, computer graphics, engineering, computer science, education, culinary arts, advertising, interior design, telecommunications, accounting, and business degrees among many others. NYIT has been a pioneer in the area of distance education and has state-of-the-art distance learning and teleconferencing technology and laboratories at each of its three campuses.
