Campus Description:
Nazareth College is an independent, coeducational, comprehensive
college that offers career programs based in the liberal arts.
The suburban campus in Pittsford is located 7 miles from the
city of Rochester in western New York State. Founded in 1924,
the College has conferred over 19,000 baccalaureate and master's
degrees. Over 1,800 are full-time undergraduates.
Twenty-three buildings of traditional and contemporary design
are conveniently situated on the College's 150-acre park-like
campus. The Otto A. Shults Community Center, housing a 20,000
square-foot gymnasium, the student union, a multi-faith
religious center, a 25-meter swimming pool, and student
personnel offices, is the hub of on-campus student life. The
resident students, consisting of 57 percent of the undergraduate
population, are housed in ten separate residence halls. Recent
expansion has added new residence halls, an academic building,
and stadium.
Sports:
Varsity Sports: Women's: basketball, cross country, field
hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming/diving,
tennis, track and field, volleyball. Men's: basketball,
cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming/diving, tennis,
track and field, volleyball.
Intramural Sports: Women's: basketball, soccer,
tennis. Men's: basketball, soccer, tennis. Coed:
equestrian.
