Application Requirements:
Application; transcripts from all colleges attended; two letters
of recommendation (one must be from a faculty member, other from
faculty or supervisor in an employment situation) for all
applicants. For the teaching programs: autobiography about
desire to enter the teaching profession. For education programs:
teaching or student personnel certificate, or proof of
qualifications for such. Public relations requires 3 writing
samples and an interview, journalism requires a writing
assessment and interview, and the M.B.A. program requires the
GMAT and a resume.
Campus Description:
Iona College's Rockland Graduate Center provides graduate degree
programs and certificates in twelve fields. The campus is
located in Blue Hill Office Plaza in Pearl River. It provides
state-of-the-art facilities along with convenient schedules and
parking so that working adults can earn Master's degrees. Degree
programs include business administration, public relations,
journalism, computer science, telecommunications, health
services administration, English, history, Italian, educational
technology, teaching (for career changers) in early
childhood/childhood and adolescence, education (for certified
teachers) in childhood literacy, adolescence, and educational
leadership. Coursework in other areas is also available.
