Campus Description:
Excelsior College (formerly Regents College) has provided
innovative and rigorous academic programs at a distance to adult
learners since 1971. With more than 110,000 alumni worldwide, it
offers 36 undergraduate and graduate degrees, and certificate
programs through its schools of Business and Technology, Health
Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Nursing. Accredited by Middle
States, Excelsior holds specialized program accreditation from
TAC of ABET and NLNAC. Its School of Nursing has been designated
a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the NLNAC.
Serving 27,000 enrolled students in both its assessment- and
instruction-based programs, nearly one-third of them are from
groups historically underrepresented in higher education.

Special Programs:
All of Excelsior College's 34 degree programs are especially
designed to meet the needs of working adults, among whom are
approximately 6,200 members of our nation's armed forces. The
college is home to a unique, competency-based nursing program
and the nation's largest school of nursing. The college offers
non-degree certificate programs in areas as diverse as nursing
informatics and homeland security. Excelsior also offers a
series of ACE evaluated college-level proficiency examinations
that students can use to earn credit toward a degree at hundreds
of colleges around the country.
