Campus Description:
Concordia College is a private, Christian liberal arts college
located in the quiet village of Bronxville, NY, just a half hour
train ride north of Manhattan. There are approximately 700
students with the majority enrolled in education, business,
social sciences, social work, English, liberal studies, and
biology. Special programs include an Honors Program and a
program for students with learning disabilities. With an average
class size of 16 students and a student-faculty ratio of 13:1,
Concordia provides a caring, challenging and supportive
environment in which to live and learn. The majority of
Concordia's students live on campus in one of five residence
halls. Concordia offers a wide variety of extra-curricular
activities including vocal and instrumental music groups, 11
NCAA Division II athletic teams, intramural athletics, Campus
Christian Ministries, Drama Club, Poetry Club, Academic Clubs,
Yearbook, Newspaper, and Student Government.
Sports:
Varsity Sports, NCAA Division II: Women's: basketball,
cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball. Men's:
basketball, baseball, cross country, soccer, tennis.
Intramural Sports: Coed: basketball, floor hockey,
volleyball.
Clubs and Activities:
Alpha Chi Honor Society, Campus Christian Ministry, Chamber and
Jazz Ensembles, Cheerleading Concordia Players (Drama Club),
Dance Club, Equestrian Club, Festival Chorus and Orchestra,
Honors Program, International and Afro/Latin American Club,
Newspaper, Social Work Club, Student Activities Committee,
Student Government Association, Tour and Chapel Choirs,
Yearbook.
