programs; portfolio review for art programs; $35 application fee
(waived for online applicants).
Campus Description:
The College is a dynamic and comprehensive with more than 5,100
students in which teaching is the first priority. Located in the
heart of Albany, New York State’s Capital City, the College is a
private, independent, coeducational college.
The College of Saint Rose community engages highly motivated
undergraduate and graduate students in rigorous educational
experiences. In the progressive tradition of the founding
Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, we welcome men and women
from all religious and cultural backgrounds. In addition to
developing their intellectual capacities, students have the
opportunity to cultivate their creative and spiritual gifts in a

The College delivers distinctive and comprehensive liberal
arts and professional programs that inspire our graduates to be

Rose community's energetic involvement and effective leadership
in society.
Through a strong liberal education curriculum and progressive
academic programs, the College serves traditional students and
working professionals. We offer 60 undergraduate programs and 44
master’s programs.
The College of Saint Rose, sponsored by the Sisters of St.
Joseph of Carondelet Albany Province, is accredited fully by the
Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York, the
Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, the
National Association of Schools of Art and Design, the
Educational Standards Board of the National
Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Association of
Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, the National
Association of Schools of Music, the Council on Social Work
Education, and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher
Education (NCATE).
Sports:
Member of the Northeast 10 Conference with includes the
following team sports: Men's: baseball, basketball, cross
country, golf, soccer, swimming, track & field. Women's:
basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis,
track & field, volleyball.
Intramural and Club Sports a variety of activities are
available, contact the Athletics Office for more information.
