Campus Description:
The College of Mount Saint Vincent, a four-year, coeducational,
liberal arts college, is a private, independent institution in
the Catholic tradition and the spirit of the Sisters of Charity,
with a total enrollment of more than 1,600 full-time and
part-time students representing various religious, racial, and
ethnic backgrounds.
Founded in 1847 as an academy for women by the Sisters of
Charity of New York and chartered as a college in 1911, it is
located on 70 acres overlooking the Hudson River in the
Riverdale section of the Bronx. The College offers bachelor's
degrees in over 20 majors and three master's degree programs,
all with a variety of concentrations.
Sports:
Varsity Sports, NCAA Division III: Women's: basketball,
cross-country, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis,
track and field, volleyball. Men's: baseball, basketball,
junior varsity basketball, cross-country, lacrosse, soccer,
tennis, volleyball.
