State Universities in Minnesota

Minnesota's four-year state universities offer courses and programs leading to a bachelor's and other advanced degrees. Programs are offered in liberal arts, sciences and professional fields. Most also offer a full range of athletics and intramural sports as well as programs in theater, music and the arts. On-campus housing is available at most four-year state universities.

The Lowdown: Bachelor's and master's degree programs on seven campuses in Minnesota.

Getting In: Students should be in the top half of their high school class with scores of at least 90 on the PSAT, 21 on the ACT or 1000 combined on the SAT. Entering freshmen must have four years of English, three years of math, three years of science, three years of social studies, two years of a single world language, and one year in either world culture or the arts. Students are urged to develop computer skills and take one additional year of math and science.
