Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health
Sciences is a private independent college offering graduate,
professional and undergraduate degrees in the health sciences.
MCPHS provides a unique academic environment to guide and
support students toward successful, sustainable careers and
leadership in health care. Drawing on its long and distinguished
history of specializing in the health sciences, the College
offers traditional and non-traditional programs that embody
teaching excellence, active scholarship and research,
professional service and community outreach.
Founded in 1823, MCPHS is the oldest
institution of higher education in the City of Boston.
Approximately 2,800 students—drawn from 32 states and 30 foreign
countries — are enrolled on its three campuses in Boston and
Worcester, Massachusetts and Manchester, New Hampshire.
College-sponsored housing is available in Boston and Worcester.
Professional or undergraduate degrees are
offered in Pharmacy, Nursing, Physician Assistant Studies,
Dental Hygiene, Radiologic Sciences, Health Psychology,
Chemistry, and Premedical and Health Studies. Graduate programs
are offered in Drug Regulatory Affairs and Health Policy, Drug
Discovery and Development, pharmaceutical sciences, medicinal
chemistry and pharmacology. Located in the heart of the Longwood
Medical Area, the Boston campus enjoys clinical affiliations
with some of the world’s greatest medical institutions,
including Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General
Hospital, Children’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer
Institute.
