Hebrew College
Located in Greater Boston since 1921, Hebrew
College is a transdenominational, accredited academic
institution offering graduate and undergraduate degrees in
Jewish studies and Jewish education, rabbinic and centurial
ordination, and specializations/certificates in day school
education, family education, early childhood Jewish education,
Jewish special education and Jewish informal education. Hebrew
College’s academic degree and certificate programs provide a
solid grounding in Judaic and the tools to apply that knowledge
toward a career in the Jewish professions or advanced
scholarship.
Graduates of Hebrew College build successful
careers as educators or administrators in Jewish day schools,
congregational Hebrew schools, Jewish preschools, community
centers, synagogues, and Jewish camps and youth groups; enter
the rabbinate and canto rate; earn advanced degrees in Jewish
scholarship; or prepare for Jewish communal work. All degree and
certificate programs place a strong emphasis on text study and
Hebrew literacy.
Academic programs include a unique
transdenominational Rabbinical School, Cantor-Educator program,
and the Internet’s first online master’s degree in Jewish
Studies. The Hebrew College Fellows Program provides merit
fellowships for outstanding degree candidates. Financial aid is
also available.
