Black Panther Historic Shipwreck Preserve
In the closing days of World War II, the Black Panther, a German submarine became a possession of the US Navy. It was sunk in the Potomac River after testing was complete. Designated as Maryland's first historic shipwreck preserve in 1994. For information call: (301)769-2222

Conowingo Hydroelectric Plant and Dam
One of the nation's largest hydroelectric generating stations spans the Susquehanna River. Operates largest fish lifts of its kind. Can pass 750,000 American shad as they make their spring spawning run. For information call: (410)457-5011
