Saint Joseph Seminary College is a private four-year liberal
arts college operated by the Benedictine Monks of Saint Joseph
Abbey and the dioceses of the ecclesiastical provinces of New
Orleans and Mobile. The 1200-acre piney woods campus is located
north of Covington and forty-five miles from New Orleans. Fully
accredited, Saint Joseph Seminary College awards the Bachelor of
Arts degree with majors in Philosophy and the Liberal Arts or
Philosophy and Religious Studies. There is also a two-year
pre-theology program for students who have already attained a
college degree. While the core of its academic program remains
the college curriculum, Saint Joseph Seminary College has a
broader scope: the program of Spiritual Foundation is one of the
distinguishing features of this institution. With its small and
diverse population of full-time students residing on campus,
this unique undergraduate institution is rich in its liturgical
and cultural tradition.
