Boone county was formed in 1799. It is located in the Outer
Bluegrass region of the state. The elevation in the county
ranges from 455 to 964 feet above sea level. In 2000 the county
population was 85,991 in a land area of 246.26 square miles, an
average of 349.2 people per square mile. The county seat is
Burlington. The largest city in the county is Florence. Boone
county is in the northern Kentucky area. |
